Must-visit pubs are few and far between, so when you get the chance to check one out, it makes sense to go. And the Star in Middlesbrough is definitely one of those must-visit pubs.
Opposite the University campus, it offers a heady mix of the traditional and the contemporary to a wide range of customers – from students right through to business people holding lunchtime meetings.
The food is excellently priced and stretches from a breakfast sandwich menu to to a wide variety wraps/paninis and above average pub fayre. There are large screens for sky sports. You’ll find no-smoking areas. And there is even wireless internet access.
There’s no doubt that all this makes for a lively atmosphere. But there’s one more reason for visiting the Star – the impressive list of cask ales, and extensive selection of wines that all of our pubs are famous for.
