About The Green
You’ll find The Green south of the Tyne, and within easy access from Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham. It’s set in pleasant and spacious surroundings close to Heworth Golf Course and has a huge outdoor terrace where you can make the most of lazy weekends and warm summer evenings.
Stylishly refurbished on the old Dixielanders music hall site, and boasting a relaxed atmosphere and contemporary decor, The Green is a haven for both real ale and wine lovers. There are regular quiz nights, an interesting mix of customers and great views to enjoy.
But what makes The Green really special is its food. In fact, no-one is more passionate than the pub’s kitchen team when it comes to creating dishes that use locally sourced fresh ingredients – which makes it an absolute must-visit for lunch or dinner… or both!
